Trevor Petersen has been teaching music for several years, with a Bachelor’s of Music in Cello Performance from UNO. His teaching style is relaxed and focuses on the individual needs of each student, allowing for flexibility in the approach to learning. Trevor enjoys working with adult students of all skill levels, finding fulfillment in helping them improve in a field that is very dear to him.
While teaching wasn’t initially part of his plan, Trevor discovered a love for it when the opportunity arose. His favorite part of teaching is seeing his students progress and build confidence. He has experience assisting students with auditions and performances, particularly in classical music.
In addition to teaching, Trevor performs with several symphonies, including those in Omaha, Lincoln, Sioux City, and South Dakota, as well as various other local engagements. A fun fact about Trevor: he’s a big fan of Starbucks, especially their iced lattes.
