Dr. Eric Reimnitz

Instructor

Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitar, and Upright Bass

Dr. Eric Reimnitz has been teaching music for more than 25 years and brings both expertise and humor into every lesson. With a degree in music theory and decades of performance experience in a wide variety of settings, he offers students a strong foundation in both the technical and creative sides of music.

Eric describes his teaching style as laid-back and fun, creating an environment where students can relax, enjoy themselves, and grow as musicians. He loves working with students of all ages and skill levels, finding joy in both the wide-eyed discovery of beginners and the challenge of guiding advanced players through abstract musical concepts.

His favorite part of teaching is helping students connect with music they love. Whether that means learning popular songs, preparing for recitals, or experimenting with different genres, Eric encourages students to play pieces that inspire them. He believes music should be fun first and foremost, and his lessons are shaped around each student’s interests and goals.

Outside the classroom, Eric performs regularly with several local groups, including Ecko, Southern Nights, and the Emmett Bower Band. His experience across multiple genres gives him a flexible teaching approach that resonates with a wide range of students.
