Anna Roberts

Instructor

Violin

Annna began playing violin at the age of four and has been making music with orchestras since second grade. Today, Anna performs with the Lincoln Homeschool Orchestra and is a member of the Omaha Youth Symphony, while also enjoying opportunities to play chamber music.

As a teacher, Anna believes that music should be fun and recognizes that every student learns differently. She approaches lessons with each individual student in mind, creating an encouraging environment where students can learn, explore, and discover their own connection to music.

One of Anna’s favorite things about music is its ability to express emotions and tell stories through an instrument. While classical music and jazz are particular favorites, she also has a soft spot for improvisation and the creativity and freedom it brings to playing.

Looking ahead, Anna hopes to study violin at a university and eventually pursue a career performing professionally in an orchestra. In the meantime, there is plenty of music to make—and apparently a little adventure, too! A fun fact about Anna is that she has chickens and, as a child, once fought off a fox to protect them.
